Paraty

Before getting to Paraty, something like forty minutes before it, there´s a fishermen´s village called Tarituba.

It´s a calm perfect place to spend a few days. There´s an island named Ilha do Breu with a very comfortable hotel and it is only 5 minutes from Tarituba.

There are about 1,000 people living there and most of them are Caiçaras. A Caiçara is what we call a person who was brough up there. They´re usually fishermen, some of them do handcraft work like little boats, fish, houses and other pieces of art made of wood – There are lots of painters there too. Their work is very beautiful and most of them sell it in Paraty.

Ilha do Breu is the perfect island for you to relax over the weekend. It´s really worth spending a day or two surrounded by the birds and lots of other green islands. You´ll do things like going on boat trips, swimming, walking around the green island, fishing plus some extra water sport activities. Breakfast is included on their price.There´ll be a free boat trip around the islands for at least three hours. There´s a nice restaurant serving typical and other different kinds of food. There are kayaks for those who like rowing around the island.

The island is about 5 minutes from the continent. You can come to the continent anytime you want. Especially if you wanted to go for a walk in the woods where there are lots of waterfalls. In the middle of everything you can go to Paraty and spend the day there and then be back to the island.

You´ll visit the historical center and go to Murycana which is five minutes from the center of Paraty.

Our bus will be in Tarituba waiting for us in the hotel garage anytime you feel like going shopping or visiting other places. The next option takes place is in the city of Paraty.

Pousada are sometimes small hotels, but very comfortable ones with air conditioned in every room plus a small fridge. Some of those pousadas offer you a place that reminds you of your own home. Most of them do not serve lunch or dinner but you´ll eat breakfast like a king. There are lots of different kinds of fruits, bread, juice plus coffee and milk and you won´t have to pay anything else for that. Breakfast is already included on their price. You´ll even visit Murycana and go for a boat trip around the islands, find a nice beach on one of those islands.
